Treatment Guide

There are different sprays, lotions, oil also available online. If your dog is wounded then you can rest him on a small table or on the floor. You can take help from one of your family members or friends to hold the dog if needed. First, take a clean warm towel and clean the area around the wound. Then if needed take the shave or cut the hairs around the wound but be very careful. Take some warm water and a soft towel and clean the wound and around it. Try to be very gentle with your dog and don’t panic or be in a rush because your dog may also start panicking. Take an antiseptic and dilute it with some warm water. Antiseptic will help kill all the bacteria. Apply an antiseptic ointment or a wound healing ointment.

Try to keep your dog sleeping or resting for around 10 to 15 mins so that the medicine starts working. You don’t need to apply a lot of ointment because dogs usually have a habit of licking their wounds and injuries.

Do this process at least two or three times in a day. Do not cover the injury, you will see fast results. Do it for few days and see whether there is any improvement. If the wound is not healing then you must visit the vet’s office. This treatment is only for small wounds not for big injuries. You can also use mineral oil in a very small quantity, it doesn’t allow the bacteria to grow.

If the injury is very serious then you must not try to heal it on your own. The big wound is a little complicated and wrong treatment can fill puss and can make the wound worst.

Let your dog enjoy exploring just make sure you always treat your dog right and have all the needed supplies always at your place.
